Knocked out permanent tooth

Secure the tooth by picking it up by the crown. Do not touch the root as this can affect re-implantation.
Rinse the tooth with clean water for no more than 10 seconds to remove all foreign matter. Do not brush or scrape.
Gently re-implant the tooth into the socket and gently bite down on a clean towel.
Go to your dentist within 30 minutes of the injury.

Knocked out baby tooth

Secure the tooth by picking it up by the crown.
Rinse the tooth with clean water for no more than 10 seconds to remove all foreign matter. Do not brush or scrape.
Soak the tooth in milk, saline solution, or saliva on your way to the dentist. Let your dentist handle re-implantation. Do not attempt to re-implant the tooth yourself as this can damage the developing permanent tooth underneath.
Go to your dentist within 30 minutes of the injury.
